I caught myself telling my sister-in-law the other day how "vomiticious" it made me feel to read blogs about "how wonderful everybody's husbands are, and how their kids are so perfect." I mean, can they really be that perfect? Do your days really go that un-flawed? I could just feel the envy ooze out of my judgmental pours. It was this fairly hideous feeling that forced me into unwanted reflection. How could I feel this way? My life is filled with more blessing and more happiness than one could ever dream of, but certainly, my life is not perfect. Then it came to me, I was being silly. These people's lives aren't perfect either, their husbands do have flaws, but what makes them a uniquely gracious people is that they simply choose not to focus on the negative. They have chosen to focus on the good, and reward it by saying beautiful things about those wonderful simple moments. I GET IT.... From the bottom of my heart... I GET IT.... Oh how I wish I caught on quicker.
Anyway, it is my hope that my blog can be more uplifting towards my family, especially my amazing husband! Also, I need to thank all those bloggers who have served as such a great example on how to show appreciation to the most important people in our lives. I'm sorry I ever underestimated your sincerity.
I guess Goethe said it best when he said " Who is the happiest of man? He who values the merits of others and in their pleasure takes joy, even as though it was his own."
So to that, I am happy that in such and imperfect world, you have such remarkably perfect moments. It will be my greatest pleasure to share with you some of mine.

Logan and Lucy's first ski trip!
Jon and I took the kids on their first skiing trip this weekend. They both did so great. Lucy may still be a bit young, her legs were just not yet strong enough, but even so she never cried and neither did Logan. Logan proved to be a born natural skier. It took him maybe 30 minutes of listening to us try to teach him what to do before he got fed up and said, "guys just let me go, I can do it myself." We were astonished when he actually made it down the hill with some form of control. Pretty soon he was going through loop obstacles and turning to dodge other skiers. Anyway, it was a great trip and we can't wait to take them again.

OUR NEW HOME
We finally did it..... WE ARE BUILDING A HOUSE..... I am out of my mind excited. We looked forever, but just couldn't find the house that fit our needs and personality, so here it is, and I love it. It's not huge, but it's JUST RIGHT.
Front view: We are lanscaping on our own to save a little, so if anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them.

Logans Room: Lucy's looks just like it so I didn't post a picture, but once again, could use ideas for decorating kids rooms.
Master Bath: Not a great angle, but there is a toliet with it's own door to the side and a walk in closet on the other side.
Master Bedroom: Our window looks out right over a field where they let off fireworks after Thanksgiving! I know, what a strange time of year to let off fireworks, but wow, what a perk!

Stairs: You can't see it, but the stairs fan out at the bottom and its cute.
Office/ guest bed: So Jon and I haven't completely come to an agreement on what this room will be, but so far we have settled on office/playroom/guest room. It's not that big of a room...

Pittard Family Chirstmas
Alot has happened at the Pittard house in the last month, and I haven't blogged a bit of it. I was going to put all the pictures in this one blog, but I decided that I didn't have the time or patience to do it. So I am going to post them in segments, and hope that I finish posting all of them. Anyway, I wanted to start with the Pittard Family Christmas. We had so much fun being with family, the Pittards are so amazing. There was alot of video game playing, sports, a talent show and Keri, brenda and I got to go out for gluten free brownie and ice cream at the Outback. We also went to the batanical gardens in down town Boise. It was so beautiful, there were lights everywhere, and the boys and lucy had so much fun. Thanks Pittards for the amazing time, the laugher nearly never ceases when we are with you. We love you so much......
Batanical Gardens (PRETTTTTTY)
Don't they look like statues. Well they are not, they are real.... REAL CUTE!!!! (Okay that was cheesy).
Jen sporting her clown costume during the Pittard Family Fashion Show. Melody always enlists the willing to do something slightly embarassing, and Jen is the sort of person that would do anything to make her sister happy. Plus she makes us laugh in the process.

Logan and Jon at the Botanical Gardens. I love the men in my family. So Handsome!
Logan felt that this statue was meant for sitting on. I didn't think it was a terrible thing either, but a lady standing behind me told her daughter very loudly that "statues were for looking at, not for sitting on." So I did the best thing a parent in my situation could do. I told him to get off.... Just as soon as I took his picture.... Sorry Batanical Gardens, I will try to keep my unruley child under control next time.
Lucy loves her uncle Matt. She always want his full attention. Thanks Matt for being such a great uncle.
I just loved this picture of Matt and Keri and the boys. They were totally caught off guard! Don't hate me for putting it in here. I don't even think they read my blog, but I loved it to much, it shows all there fun characters...
A self Portrait of the hubby and me. I really liked this one, we never take good pictures, but this one I think is pretty ok.

Pittards always teases me about my Idaho City "Hick" Roots. Matt, I think you would fit in pretty good up ther in them hills..
And poor Jon, he was destined after almost 6 years of marriage to finally come over to the dark side of the ways of the Hick..
